About This Role
The Department of Management in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Kansas State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, full-time Assistant Professor position in the Human Resource Management area.
The candidate will be responsible for research, teaching, and service activities in the CBA.
Research: Consistent with departmental guidelines, the candidate will be expected to publish in high-quality academic journals in the human resource management area and develop a strong research track-record.
Teaching: Desired area of teaching experience or interest must include human resource management and organizational behavior. The CBA has a strong emphasis on data analytics as part of its innovative curriculum.
Service: The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to collegiality and shared governance. Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management or a closely related area from an AACSB accredited university. ABDs will also be considered but must be in a position to complete their Ph.D. within 6 months of their employment date at Kansas State University.
Ability to publish in high-quality journals in the human resource management area and develop a strong research track-record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong research record as demonstrated through publications in top academic journals and presentations at national academic conferences.
Prior university teaching experience in human resource management or a closely related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Related professional work experience.
Demonstrated ability to teach one or more of the advanced courses in Human Resource Management.
Commitment to understanding one's experiences and perspectives of diverse others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and effective collaboration.
