Lubin School of Business offers three comprehensive programs in Arts and Entertainment Management.
Rank is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The start date for this position is September 1, 2025. This position is a one-year appointment that may be extended depending on performance.
Position Responsibilities:
Teach four undergraduate and/or graduate courses per semester in the Department of Management and Management Science.
Be available to teach courses on our NYC and Pleasantville campuses, depending on departmental needs.
Advise students and student clubs depending on departmental needs.
Interact with other Lubin School units, students, faculty, and staff to provide delivery of high quality curricular and co-curricular experiences for Lubin students.
Build and nurture new external and internal relationships with key individuals and organizations to support the department's goals and mission.
Be available to attend department or student-related meetings and events on our campus 4 days a week.
Be available to advise the department chair, undergraduate/graduate program chairs, or program directors regarding curriculum, teaching assignments, and any other matters related to their area of instruction.
Scholarly research is not expected; however, clinical faculty may conduct research and work with other faculty members on research projects.
Participate in departmental-level service activities/assignments and other duties as assigned by the department chair.
The Director of Academic Programs role includes the following responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction for two to three programs in alignment with the Management Department's mission and goals.
Formulate and implement strategies that will enhance the program's value and reputation of the program and the management department and school.
Provide strategic direction for the program in alignment with the Management Department's mission and goals.
Work closely with faculty to create new projects and courses to meet the needs of the program
Organize, plan, and set priorities for allocation of resources within the Program.
Manage an ongoing process of program review and evaluation, including assessing student and program outcomes. This includes working with the department chair to assess program needs, reviewing textbooks, reviewing syllabi, evaluating program effectiveness, determining if program objectives are being met, and developing updates to the curriculum as needed.
Build strong mutually beneficial relationships personally with local partners and the business community, as well as between the business community and faculty and students, to foster the goals and mission of the department and Lubin School of Business.
Develop and teach courses related to Arts and Entertainment Management, Business Strategy, International Management, Operations, and Entrepreneurship but be willing to teach courses in other management areas as required.
Coordinate and supervise students.
Initiate, develop, and manage student clubs in each program. Mentor club members, ensure deadlines for training are being met, and organize activities that will help improve student enrolment, engagement, and retention
Interact with other Lubin School units, students, faculty, and staff to provide delivery of high-quality curricular and co-curricular experiences for Lubin students.
Direct the marketing and communications of program activities. Promote positive public relations for the program.
Be available to advise the department chair, undergraduate/graduate program chairs, or program directors regarding curriculum, teaching assignments, and any other matters related to their area of instruction.
Other duties as assigned by the department chair.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Management or a closely related field; Ph.D. or equivalent or ABD preferred.
We are especially interested in candidates with strong connections to the Arts and Entertainment community. Experience leading a center or program is strongly valued.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills and relationship-building solid and organizational skills are essential.
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in for-profit arts and entertainment management businesses, media management, music business, and film and television management
