The Dialogue Project at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business invites applications for a two-year post-doctoral associate position (one-year contract renewable based on performance) to begin on July 1, 2025.
The post-doctoral position is part of a new initiative at Fuqua called “The Dialogue Project.” A central goal of the Dialogue Project is to support research on fostering trust, openness, joint problem solving in the presence of polarization and conflict. The post-doctoral associate will collaborate with faculty in Fuqua’s Management and Organizations area and Strategy area on topics related to this research goal. The two areas provide an outstanding environment for research. The post-doctoral associate will be expected to participate in the Fuqua research community and to contribute to the intellectual development of the Dialogue Project.
The post-doctoral associate will be expected to teach one section of an existing core Management and Organizations course in one of Fuqua’s one-year masters programs. Current faculty will support this teaching through sharing materials and providing mentorship.
The salary is competitive plus benefits and a research and travel budget.
Successful candidates must have completed the requirements for a Ph.D. in a social science discipline (e.g., organizational behavior, sociology, psychology, economics), or in a related discipline, by July 2025. The post-doctoral position is exclusively for recent Ph.D. graduates. Eligible candidates need not have previously held a faculty or postdoctoral position.
Applicants should submit their materials, including letters of recommendation, via Academic Jobs Online.
The candidate’s advisor will be asked to verify the date of Ph.D. completion. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled with preferences given to those applications received prior to February 20, 2025.
