The Management Department at Bentley University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship, effective Fall 2026. The rank of the appointment is open to assistant and associate professors. Salary is competitive.We are looking for experienced assistant or associate professor candidates with a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Strategy or a closely related discipline, with a research focus and a teaching interest in Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Responsibilities include publishing high-quality scholarly research, teaching at the undergraduate, masters, and PhD levels, supervising executive PhD students, and participating in other academic and professional activities.
Bentley is committed to the teacher-scholar model where teaching, scholarship, service, and community engagement are expected and valued. Reflected in the balance of our teacher-scholar model, the position carries a five-course teaching load per academic year. Class sizes vary but are capped at 35 students. We seek qualified faculty who represent diverse backgrounds, interests and talents and share a commitment to high ethical standards and a willingness to embrace challenge and change.

Management Department faculty members have a diverse set of research interests and have published in top academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Academy of Management Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of World Business, Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and Strategic Management Journal. A well-qualified applicant must have a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, or a closely related discipline with a research focus and a teaching interest in Entrepreneurship. Experience in working with doctoral students is desirable, but not required. Applicants must also demonstrate evidence of dedication to teaching and research excellence. The faculty member hired for this position will be expected to be an enthusiastic participant in the Management Department, Bentley University, and the wider academic community.
