Qualifications
Successful candidates should have strong training in applied empirical methodology, substantive interests in policy-relevant research, and a teaching portfolio that can suit the needs of an international public policy school with a diverse student body.
Applicants should have either completed their Ph.D. or be in the advanced stages of their Ph.D. (ABD status), and be able to submit confirmation of their degree by 31 August 2025 for their appointment.
All positions are tenure-track and open rank, and candidates with teaching or policy research experience are preferred.
Field Descriptions
Trade and Industrial Policy
We seek applications for a tenure track faculty position in Trade and Industrial Policy at any rank. The ideal applicant will possess a PhD in Economics or a related field and have teaching and research interests focusing on international trade and/or industrial policy, equipped with strong empirical research skills and a solid theoretical foundation. While we welcome applicants whose expertise is in trade and industrial policy, preference is given to those with an interest in developing countries. We seek individuals with a broad range of policy interests who are committed to engaging with students, scholars, and policymakers, fostering an environment of collaborative learning and impactful research.
Macroeconomics
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in both theoretical and applied macroeconomics, with research interests that may include (but are not limited to) economic growth, business cycles, monetary and fiscal policy, macroeconomic modeling, international economics, and financial markets. The ideal candidate will contribute to the School through impactful research, a commitment to high-quality teaching, and the ability to engage in meaningful public policy discussions.
Public Administration and Leadership
We invite applications for a faculty position specializing in public administration and management. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of academic rigor and practical expertise in areas such as: (1) non-profit management (including international organizations and social entrepreneurship); (2) disaster management and preparedness; (3) local government and governance; (4) public sector ethics and leadership; or/and (5) public-private partnership. Applicants with expertise in exploring public administration through the lens of data science and artificial intelligence for research and teaching are also encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates employing a mix of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
