The Department of Management & Organization invites applications for one full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor for the 2026-2027 academic year, with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2026. Assistant Professors have an annual service period of nine months. University of Washington faculty members engage in research, teaching, and service.
The successful candidates will perform research in micro subject areas, which may include organizational behavior and human resources management. Teaching responsibilities will focus on organizational behavior, human resources management, leadership, ethics, teams, etc.
The base salary range for this position will be $22,000-32,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Candidates must have or be nearing completion of a PhD or foreign equivalent in Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, Management, Human Resource Management, Psychology, Sociology, or other related field. A qualified candidate may be considered for temporary appointment as an Acting Assistant Professor, pending PhD, with conversion to an appointment as an Assistant Professor after degree conferral if the terminal degree has not been conferred by the position start date.
