Established in 1923, Texas Tech University is a Carnegie R1 (very high research activity) Doctoral/Research-Extensive, Hispanic Serving, and state-assisted institution. Located on a beautiful 1,850-acre campus in Lubbock, a city in West Texas with a growing metropolitan-area population of over 300,000, the university enrolls over 40,000 students with 33,000 undergraduate and 7,000 graduate students. The Rawls College of Business is AACSB accredited, and offers BBA degrees with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several MBA programs are offered. First, a Professional MBA hybrid program is offered for students who wish to r...emain employed full-time; classes are offered one weekend per month in four locations across Texas: Lubbock, Dallas, Houston, and Austin/San Antonio, as well as an online MBA. A third MBA program is specifically designed for students with undergraduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Finally, the College offers a number of Dual Degree MBA programs. We also offer MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research & analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. We have approximately 70 tenure track faculty and 60 non-tenure-track faculty. The College has more than 5,500 undergraduate students and more than 1000 graduate students.
