The Department of Economics, Business, and Finance at Lake Forest College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business beginning Fall 2026. We seek a candidate with deep expertise in business analytics who can apply a data-driven approach across the business curriculum. Successful applicants must be prepared to teach classes such as business analytics and business information systems and be able to contribute to the department’s core curriculum, potentially including courses in management and/or marketing. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD?in Business Administration, Management, Business Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related fields. (ABD is acceptable if the degree is conferred prior to the start of the 2026-27 academic year.) The ability to contribute to the college’s interdisciplinary programs within and outside the department is valuable. The position has a 3-3 teaching load, typically with four annual preparations, and includes a fully funded, one-semester junior research sabbatical after a successful third-year review. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications. Mentoring students in research is also desired.
