The Department of Management and Information Systems in the College of Business at Mississippi State University invites applications for a Tenure-TrackAssistant Professor position in Management with a focus on HR/OB to start in August of 2026. Responsibilities include scholarly research, teaching, and service. Research expectations are consistent with those of an AACSB-accredited, doctoral-degree granting college of business. A typical teaching load is two courses per semester. Candidates will be expected to teach courses such as Human Resources and/or Organizational Behavior at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Finally, candidates should have a commitment to appropriate levels of service within the department, college, and university.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must hold a PhD in Management or a closely related field, or be ABD with convincing evidence of degree completion prior to the August 2026 start date. Preferably, candidates will have demonstrated the ability to produce high-quality research leading to publication in top-tier management journals, as well as the ability to teach Human Resource Management and/or Organizational Behavior.

Our success in the area of family business and entrepreneurship is a consequence of an ability to blend the diverse skills of faculty from multiple fields in management into an integrated team.
