The College of Business Administration (COBA) at Texas A&M University-Central Texas (A&M-Central Texas) invites applications from educators committed to student-centered best practices to join us for the 2025-2026 academic year as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Management. This is an exciting time to join our faculty. COBA received AACSB accreditation in the spring of 2023, the university announced its next strategic plan in August of 2024, our new Provost started in the spring of 2025, and the college is currently putting together a proposal to launch a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program.
The faculty member will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Ethics, Management, Leadership, Business Strategy, and/or other related areas as determined by department needs and individual qualifications. The teaching load will likely be four courses per term, depending on the number of different course preparations and qualifications. They will be delivered in various modalities, including face-to-face, entirely online, and/or multi-modal. The faculty member will be expected to perform the duties regularly expected of a faculty member, including, but not limited to, delivering their courses effectively, holding regular office hours per COBA policy, attending COBA and department meetings, and executing required administrative processes promptly. This faculty member will also be expected to serve on departmental, college, and university committees and maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) or Practice Academic (PA) status as described in COBA’s Faculty Qualifications policy.

Institutional Overview Texas A&M University-Central Texas (A&M-Central Texas) was established on May 27, 2009, and is the newest of 11 universities within the Texas A&M University System. A&M-Central Texas is an upper-level institution offering the junior- and senior-level coursework needed to complete baccalaureate degrees and all coursework leading to the completion of graduate degrees, including master’s and specialist programs. The university provides flexible course schedules, including online, hybrid, evening, and weekend classes.

About the College
The College of Business Administration (COBA) at A&M-Central Texas enrolls approximately 1,150 students across its three departments: Accounting and Finance, Computer Information Systems, and Management and Marketing. COBA offers undergraduate degrees in accounting, business, computer information systems, computer science, information technology, finance, human resource management, management, and marketing. In addition to the general MBA degree, COBA offers Master of Science (MS) degrees in accounting, information systems, and leadership for sustainability. COBA has approximately 35 faculty members and six full-time staff. The college is proud of its outstanding faculty, innovative curriculum, and collegial atmosphere. The College of Business Administration is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Preferred Qualifications:
An established and demonstrable track record of excellence as an instructor, especially online instruction.
Significant industry experience in management and/or strategy-related positions.
Salary: $95,000.00 for the fall and spring terms.
Hours: Variable faculty hours depending on teaching assignment, including day, night, and some weekend times particularly for interacting with online students.
Work Location: This is not a fully remote position and selected candidate will be required to work on campus dependent on course assignment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Management, Leadership, Strategy, or a closely related degree/area.
Must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC) credentialing standards, which is 18 graduate semester credit hours in the subject area taught or appropriate justification.
Would be classified as a Scholarly Academic (SA) or Practice Academic (PA) under COBA’s AACSB faculty guidelines, with approximately two publications in the last five years and two additional significant scholarly activities for SA status.
