The Department of Management at Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Strategic Management to begin Fall 2025 at the Assistant Professor level. Experienced assistant professors are encouraged to apply. Candidates will be expected to conduct research suitable for publication in top-tier journals, teach courses in Strategic Management at the undergraduate, master's, or doctoral level, participate in department and school governance activities, and perform related duties as assigned.

The Management Department comprises a collegial group of faculty in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Strategic Management. Department faculty publish in top-tier journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and Organizational Research Methods. The department offers programs at the undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. levels.

Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Management or a related field from an AACSB-accredited program, a record or evidence of potential to publish in leading academic journals, and a record of service to the profession.
