The University of Queensland Business School

The University of Queensland Business School in Australia is seeking to make multiple appointments in the broad area of Management and HRM to join the Management Discipline at the School (based at our St Lucia Campus). These appointments will be across a range of levels from Lecturer, Senior Lecturer to Professor.

We are seeking four Teaching and Research academics:

• Professor in Management – 1 position
• Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Management - 2 positions
• Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management – 1 position

The Management discipline covers research and teaching across Ethics, Leadership, Organizational Behaviour, Organizational Psychology, HRM, HR Analytics, Job Design, Talent Management, Employee Well-Being, Job Design, Conflict Management, Justice, Diversity and Inclusion, Women in Leadership, Responsible AI, Indigenous Perspectives in Business, Communications, Decision Making amongst other areas.

The Business School has a strategic priority focus in the areas of sustainability, responsible management, innovation and emerging technologies and we therefore particularly welcome applicants from the management field with expertise that speak to these areas.

Our researchers tackle a wide range of topics facing businesses in Australia and globally. Research outputs of the discipline’s 35 academic staff contribute significantly to receiving the highest recognition for research in Business and Management in Australia’s excellence for research (ERA) ranking since 2010. The discipline’s research strength is reflected in regular top-tier journal publications in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, Human Relations, Organization Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Leadership Quarterly, Nature Communications, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal or Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin amongst a wide range of other journals.

The Management discipline also has a very strong track record in gaining research support from the Australian Research Council and industry.

Management Academics at the school feature strongly in teaching and delivery of Executive Education and a range of degree programs such as the Bachelor of Business Management, Master of Business and the prestigious MBA, which consistently ranks in the Top 50 MBA programs globally (The Economist).
