The School of Education seeks a globally-oriented, experienced researcher and educator with interdisciplinary interests in entrepreneurial leadership, social entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, impact investing, or a related area who will contribute vision, leadership, and educational expertise to prepare students to create and launch innovative solutions to global problems.
The candidate will join the School of Education with a primary appointment in our successful International Teaching and Global Leadership Cohort program (ITGL), which offers a popular focus area in Entrepreneurship in Education. The JHU Master of Science in Education, ITGL Cohort program prepares innovative, global education leaders to transform schools, systems, and other fast-changing learning environments around the world. In the full-time, 11-month, on-campus program, ITGL students develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and applied learning experiences required to provide innovative, future-ready education for all learners in diverse settings. The curriculum is learner-centered, project- and team-based, supporting the SOE's mission to generate knowledge to inform policy and practice and educate society to address the most important challenges faced by individuals, schools, and communities. The School of Education has two faculty tracks: one focused on research and one focused on teaching and program development. This position is open to candidates with either focus.
Responsibilities of this position include:
· Teaching and advising students in ITGL as well as other School of Education programs in the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and other educational topics.
· Leading the Entrepreneurship in Education focus area in the ITGL program.
· Using project-based, experiential learning techniques to prepare emerging education entrepreneurs with the skills to conceptualize, build, and launch innovations in education, business, and society.
· Creating and updating interdisciplinary, entrepreneurship in education curriculum.
· Advance research on topics related to entrepreneurship, education, or a related field.
· Fostering partnerships in the greater Baltimore region and globally to develop applied learning opportunities for students and enhance the innovation ecosystem.
· Collaborating within the School of Education, University, and local and global communities.
