The Department of Management & Marketing at the College of Charleston seeks qualified applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor. The effective start date is August 16, 2026.
Responsibilities: We’re seeking a dynamic tenure-track professor to teach, mentor, and empower students to start and grow real-world ventures. The College of Charleston’s Management & Marketing Department invites applications for a faculty position as an Assistant Professor in entrepreneurship. The role involves teaching three courses each semester. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching advanced courses such as Entrepreneurial Sales & Negotiations or AI for Entrepreneurs, focusing on how AI, predictive analytics, and automation can create business opportunities. In addition to teaching, the position emphasizes research excellence, service, and active engagement with the Center for Entrepreneurship, promoting experiential learning that enables students across all disciplines to innovate and succeed.
QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum academic requirement for this position is a PhD from an AACSB, EFMD, or EQUIS-accredited program. Ideal applicants will have significant entrepreneurial experience to complement their research interests and teaching experience in basic and upper-level entrepreneurship courses at an AACSB-accredited business school. Preference will be given to enthusiastic candidates, engaged with students, good communicators, and collegial team players.
