The University of Houston invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the C.T. Bauer College of Business.
The University of Houston (UH) seeks a proven academic leader who can serve as the new Dean of its prestigious C. T. Bauer College of Business. As lead administrator of Bauer College, the Dean will partner with university leadership and engage students, faculty, staff, alums, and other key constituents to continue the college’s trajectory of excellence in undergraduate and graduate business education, research, and service. The Dean will also work closely with community partners and business leaders to enhance career development opportunities for students and expand program support.
Ideal candidates must have a demonstrated record of leadership in higher education, and the skills required to oversee a large and complex college. The person should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively with others to build meaningful relationships across multiple constituencies. Candidates should have a terminal degree and academic credentials that merit appointment with tenure at the rank of professor in one of the College’s departments.
The C.T. Bauer College of Business is an internationally renowned business school, and one of the largest degree- granting colleges in the University of Houston with approximately 8,000 students across five academic units: Accountancy & Taxation, Decision & Information Sciences, Finance, Management & Leadership, and Marketing & Entrepreneurship. The Bauer College is also home to several prestigious centers of excellence in Investment Management, Energy, Sales, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship.
