Associate Professor in Business Security
The Department of Business Humanities and Law (BHL) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is advertising two Associate Professorships: one in the areas of Responsible Entrepreneurship and one in Business Security, and for an Assistant Professorship in Responsible Entrepreneurship. Starting date in January 2026 or later, upon agreement.
Copenhagen Business School is a public university in Denmark with over 20,000 students and 450 full-time faculty members. CBS is thus one of the largest and most reputable business schools in Northern Europe, covering a wide range of business-related academic fields.
The Department of Business Humanities and Law (BHL) is one of 11 departments at CBS. The department currently comprises 108 researchers, with 21 professors, 38 associate professors, 11 assistant professors, 22 postdoctoral researchers, and 16 PhD students. The department's research is organized into three units: Entrepreneurship, Ethics, & Leadership; Governance, Culture, & Learning; and Law. The department also has several bottom-up research groups and hosts funded research centers and projects. The department's research is cross-disciplinary with an integrated approach to the contemporary challenges facing business and society.
The vacant associate professorships are tenured positions with research and teaching obligations (33/67). The vacant assistant professorship is a 4-year (3+1) non-tenured position with research and teaching obligations (50/50). More details on the contract conditions and base salary information will be shared with interviewees.
The department will be pre-interviewing for these positions in person at the AoM Job Fair in Copenhagen, July 25-28, 2025.

About Department of Business Humanities and Law, Copenhagen Business School
Core research areas of the Department of Business Humanities and Law at Copenhagen Business School are organized into different research Units: Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership; Governance, Culture and Learning; and CBS Law. Faculty within these groups have research backgrounds in all areas of law, political science, sociology, philosophy, history, anthropology, literature, theology, aesthetics, design and innovation, tourism and leisure management, cultural economics, leadership and strategy, pedagogic study, and other areas.
What unites faculty is an overriding concern for the organization of the human within its multiple environments: work, nature, economy, civil association, the state, and corporation. BHL also participates in numerous interdisciplinary cross-CBS activities. In line with this concern, the postdoc should demonstrate a capacity to bridge across several of these environments and place the human at the heart of the project.
