Lake Forest College seeks a dynamic and experienced Instructor in Business to join our Economics, Business, and Finance Department beginning in the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a full-time, continuing, non-tenure-track position that offers an exciting opportunity to engage with students, contribute to the department’s academic goals, and bring practical business insights to our curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver three (3) engaging undergraduate courses each semester, such as (though not limited to): marketing classes, including principles of marketing, marketing research, and advertising management; and/or management classes, including principles of management, business information systems, and leadership in organizations.
Create and assess student assignments, exams, and projects.
Provide professional mentorship and academic support to students through formal advising responsibilities.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to broader curriculum development.
Engage with the wider campus community through committee service.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in business, marketing or related field, master’s degree at a minimum.
Proven track record of effective teaching and student engagement and/or significant professional experience in marketing or management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
