The School of Applied Professional Studies in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership to begin in the Fall 2026 semester. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in shaping the future of one of ASU’s most successful programs, helping to redefine leadership education by integrating real-world applications into the curriculum; exploring the implications of emerging technologies for leadership; and teaching students how to build adaptive cultures within today’s dynamic work environments. Expectations for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; engaging in and publishing high-impact research that shapes the field of Organizational Leadership; practicing inclusive teaching and mentoring; and providing service to the unit, college, and university. Teaching load is typically two (2) courses per semester. Course load and composition are determined by the school director.
This is an academic-year appointment with an expected start date of August 2026. This position is a benefits-eligible appointment with tenure implications. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Candidate must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate.

Essential Functions:
Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (typically two courses per semester)
Conducting and publishing research that shapes the field of Organizational Leadership

Required Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership or a related field in hand by the appointment date
Published, or demonstrated potential to publish, research in peer-reviewed journals relative to rank
Teaching experience in a post-secondary environment (undergraduate and/or graduate), including digital modalities such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
Desired Qualifications:
Strong evidence of a scholarly research program in Organizational Leadership, with a preference for candidates whose research program is in one of the following: assessment, organizational strategy, organizational innovation, social processes/teamwork in organizations, or ethical/emotional/cultural intelligence
Demonstrated potential for high-quality publications, external funding, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research that advances ASU’s commitment to local, national, and global impact
Graduate degree(s) from one of ASU’s peer institutions or similar
Focus on applied, experiential learning that meets the career-ready goals of the unit
Record of or demonstrated potential for securing external funding
