The College of Business (COB) at SUNY Poly seeks to fill one tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on experience and educational attainment at the time of employment. The expected start date is August 2025. SUNY Poly's COB is an AACSB-accredited business school that offers five degree programs: MS in Accounting, MBA in Technology Management, BS in Accounting, BS in Business Administration, and BS in Finance. The COB offers elective courses in a multidisciplinary MS in Data Science and Analytics program. In the domain of entrepreneurship, the COB offers an undergraduate minor in Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship focused courses in Finance and Marketing. In collaboration with SUNY Poly's Interdisciplinary Studies Program, the COB also offers an undergraduate minor in Creativity and Ethical Venturing. To graduate students, we offer courses in entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, and innovation management, The COB is home to two centers: the Center for Business and Applied Ethics, and the interdisciplinary Sustainable Aerospace Energy Center in cooperation with faculty from the College of Engineering. The successful candidate also will have opportunities to collaborate with other faculty members around the four thematic areas described in SUNY Poly's 2024 Strategic Plan: Materials, Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing; AI and Information Technology; Smart Infrastructure and Sustainability; and Healthcare & Wellbeing.

Description of Duties:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship, Innovation, and related fields, such as Introduction to Entrepreneurship; Design Culture and Collaborative Methods; Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Project Management; Operating Startups and Innovative Firms; New Product Design and Development; Marketing for Entrepreneurs; Funding for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Regional Entrepreneurial Environments; Advanced Entrepreneurial Planning; Finance For Entrepreneurs; Marketing for Entrepreneurs; etc. The mode of instruction could be on-campus, online, or hybrid.
Sustain a strong and active research agenda in Entrepreneurship (domain-specific or interdisciplinary) or related fields (such as innovation management, strategic management, international business, or technology management) that meets or exceeds the requirements for AACSB's faculty qualification status (i.e., Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic).
Maintain active roles in student advising and mentoring, assessment and assurance of learning, curriculum design and revision, as well as committee services at all levels.
Participate in on-campus and off-campus research seminars and other collaborative professional development activities to build collaborations among SUNY Poly faculty and with external partners.
Promote entrepreneurial initiatives by participating in SUNY Poly centers, such as the Center for Business and Applied Ethics; support SUNY Poly students in entrepreneurial activities, such as the New York State Business Plan Competition (NYSBPC) and Innovation Challenge New York (ICNY); and partner with other colleges, schools, businesses, government agencies, allied institutions, and nonprofits to foster a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in the greater Mohawk Valley region and beyond.
Engage in professional and academic activities in campus-based, local, regional or broader communities in an effort to make a positive societal impact and advance the recognition and reputation of the COB and SUNY Poly.

Salary: Assistant Professor $110,000-$120,000 / Associate Professor $120,000-$130,000
PhD (or ABD) in Entrepreneurship or a closely related discipline from an institution accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized organization, such as the AACSB.
For a candidate with ABD status, employment is contingent on receipt of the PhD degree.

Candidates with practical experience in entrepreneurship activities are especially encouraged to apply.
