Department of Management
The Management department is composed of 38 full-time faculty members, including 18 tenured/tenure-track faculty known for their research expertise in the areas of international business, organizational behavior, organizational theory, strategy, entrepreneurship, and health care management. The department has a strong research focus and offers a supportive environment for faculty to publish in the top academic journals in their fields.
The department offers undergraduate degrees in management and human resources management and a doctoral degree in management and organization studies. Tenured research active faculty generally have a 2/2 teaching load. Untenured, tenure-track faculty teach three courses per year.
With over 5,000 students, the Carlos Alvarez College of Business at UT San Antonio is AACSB accredited and offers a variety of bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. programs. Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated excellence in publishing high-quality scholarly research and other scholarly contributions at major research universities.
Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Organizational Behavior or/and Human Resources, along with related professional service activities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and desire to work collegially with faculty and students from wide-ranging backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Research interests related to a meso- and macro- topic in organizational behavior (e.g., groups and teams, social networks, organizational climate, organizational processes, and practices as related to organizational behavior) or strategic human resource management.
Interest in mentoring and developing doctoral students.
Candidates must submit:

A cover letter that describes interest in position and fit between teaching and research experience and the position.
A research statement.
A teaching dossier or evidence of teaching effectiveness, which will include teaching evaluations, teaching philosophy and interests.
For candidates at the level of Associate or Full Professor tenure is contingent upon Board of Regents approval.
