Assistant Professor, Management (Organizational Behavior) position (10-month) University at Albany, State University of New York
The Department of Management in the Massry School of Business at the University at Albany (SUNY) is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to complement a growing team of scholars in the field at the Massry School and the University. The position will commence Fall 2026.
The department has a long history of high-impact scholarship and innovative educational programming, including a unique technology-focused MBA concentration in human resource information systems. Our faculty are well-regarded scholars across a diverse set of research areas, and frequently publish in high-ranking outlets. We seek scholars with active and productive research agendas who display potential to publish in leading management and organizational science journals.
The position is targeted toward candidates with research and teaching foci in organizational behavior, management, and human resources. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an active program of research in these areas and be willing to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are especially interested in candidates with interest or prior experience in instructing larger, introductory undergraduate classes and such candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Minimum qualifications include a PhD in management, organizational behavior, or other relevant fields, evidence of scholarly research achievement in the form of published peer-reviewed articles, proceedings, or conference presentations and a demonstrable commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion relative to role.
A review of applications will start on July 28, 2025 and the search will remain open until the position is filled. To receive full consideration, applicants should submit their application materials by September 1, 2025.
