Description The Opportunity
The University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 9-month, tenured position in the College of Business Administration’s Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting with an anticipated start date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. As a professional school in a major public research university, we are committed to research, teaching, and service that advance the accounting discipline and prepare future leaders in business, government, and academia. The Dixon School enjoys a national and international reputation for excellence in accounting research and education. We offer undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. programs in accounting and are among the elite group of accounting programs accredited by the AACSB.
Minimum requirements
Ph.D. in accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution at the time of application.
To be eligible for appointment as a tenured professor upon hire, the selected candidate must have a distinguished record of research, teaching, and service in accounting commensurate with a tenured professor in the school. Evidence of this could be demonstrated by having achieved the qualifications to be a professor at one’s current institution.
Actively publishing behavioral research in leading accounting journals as listed in the Australian Business Dean’s Council Journal list.
Involvement with major academic, professional, corporate, or government organizations in or closely related to the accounting discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated scholarly leadership in working collaboratively with colleagues.
Evidence of significant contribution to organizational initiatives major academic/professional and/or corporate/government organizations in, or closely related to, the accounting discipline.
