The Department of Management at the BYU Marriott School of Business seeks to fill a continuing faculty status (similar to tenure) track position in strategy starting in Fall 2025, pending approval by the Board of Trustees.
We welcome candidates with primary research and teaching interests in strategy and secondary interests in related fields (i.e., economics, org. theory, entrepreneurship, etc.).
We seek candidates at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. The successful candidate will (1) be expected to conduct research that leads to publications in top-tier journals; (2) be responsible for teaching a two-two (or equivalent) course load to undergraduate and/or graduate business students; and (3) participate in college and university service activities commensurate with experience and rank.

Requirements
Candidates must (1) possess an earned doctorate by 1 August 2025; (2) demonstrate the ability or potential to conduct high quality research in the area of strategic management; and (3) demonstrate an interest and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate business students. Applicants for associate or full professor should have records consistent with desired rank.

The Management Department consists of approximately 30 full time faculty in three groups: Strategy, HRM, and Entrepreneurship. Faculty regularly publish in top journals including AMJ, AMR,SMJ, Org Science, JAP, P-Psych, HBR, Sloan Mgmt Review, California Mgmt Review, and other discipline-specific journals.
Provo is one of Utah's largest cities with a metro population of more than 200,000. Provo enjoys distinct fall, winter, spring, and summer seasons. The area provides world class skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, river rafting, boating, and golfing opportunities among beautiful alpine or red rock scenery. All of these activities are within an hours' drive of Provo, most within 15 minutes. Salt Lake City, host of the 2002 Winter Olympics and slated to host the 2034 Winter Olympics, is only 40 minutes away to the north. Arches, Bryce Canyon, and Zions National Parks are within a four-hour drive to the south. Yellowstone National Park is about six hours to the north.
